For the past 20 years, my primary field has been Philosophy, teaching courses in Critical Thinking, Ethics (especially ethics & race), Epistemology, and the History of Philosophy (especially Classical and Modern Philosophy.) I also teach courses in Contemporary Social & Political Philosophy, Race, Class, & Gender, the Philosophy of Film, and the Philosophy of Love.
I have developed and taught many traditional, hybrid, and online courses and I love counseling and mentoring students. I am passionate about working with scholars from underrepresented groups, including autistic students and trans students.
I've also served in the Office of the President of Indiana University working on strategic initiatives in the Honors & Awards program, as an editorial consultant, and as head of admissions for the Eiteljorg Museum. I love using my gift for critical thinking to improve strategies for success, inside and outside of the classroom.
In my spare time, I enjoy the films of Wes Anderson, Purdue basketball, and writing comedy. I have a 100% win rate on Wordle through 650 games.
